The winner of SEOWC

My first SEO competition goes back to 2004 with the "mangeur de cigogne" SEO contest. I finished 3rd. Since then, I played in about a dozen SEO competions (complete list at the bottom of this pagein French). It does not mean that I know more than anyone about how to rank high in Google. Furthermore, I really got involved in the first one I played in, but afterwards I knew it took too much of my time to rank high. After "mangeur de cigogne" I decided to participate, but will not do anything more than do a page and take backlinks from people who would contact me.
The 2007 Search Engine Optimisation World Championship is now upon us. I'm too busy with work to really compete hard enough to snap some top positions in Google, Yahoo or MSN for the keyword " globalwarming awareness2007 ".
However, I will keep on this page some thoughts about the actual technics of SEO that I found reliable. Also, I will put down some thoughts about strategies and tips that I would find useful to rank high, and possibly win, a SEO competition.

In the next weeks, I wil update this page with my view of SEO competitions and traditional SEO. So, keep up visiting this page for more insight infos.
