I give up !
I was thrilled to come back and play on a SEO competition. To tell you about my background, I started SEO contests about 4 years ago. Everytime, I enjoyed it very much. It didn't matter if I win or lose because the fun is real. Furthermore, I made really good friends throughout the years while playing.
In 2006, I decided to retire from SEO competitions. There is too much work to keep playing.
However, the launch of the SEO World Championship changed my mind, and I decided to give it a shot.
At first, I found the keyword mostly pretentious and ridiculous, but well I'm not the one who picked it up. Second, the rules are strange for a SEO competition that implies testing all bunch of borderlines techniques. Finally, what about the prizes ? A trip by plane and a car !!! Those are really environmentally friendly prizes...
However, I decided to go along and play...
Now, I changed my mind ! A guy I know from a French forum decided to spam Wikipedia. The online encyclopedia strikes back, and the shit is out since today (January 22th, 2007). I will give more links and details about the story in the near future. The fact is that I'm not thrilled at all about this competition anymore. I think that the actions of a few dummies got to the poing where there is no point trying to rank high in this first edition of the SEO World Championship.
